Creative Capital Lecture Series with ELEVEN

BCAE Lecture Series

In partnership with the Boston Center for Adult Education, Design Museum Boston presents a lecture series showcasing the designers that make Boston a Creative Capital.

On January 11th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, join Denise Korn, Principal & owner of award-winning graphic design firm Korn Design, as she shares her insight into the impact that design has on the city of Boston, including the creative process behind the re-imagining and branding of The Boston Ballet. Korn Design is a nationally recognized brand strategy and design firm with offices in Boston and New York. Korn has worked on the rebranding of a wide range of clients including: LXR Luxury Resorts, Boston Ballet, Chef Daniel Boulud, Sage Restaurant Group, Harvard University, and Ritz Carlton Hotels.

On February 8th, join Ben Beck, Partner & Co-founder at Eleven, an award-winning product development firm, to learn about their approach to industrial design. Eleven believes it’s all about people, Beck and his team take the time to clearly see and hear real users and create products that speak honestly to their needs and desires. Join us as Beck presents the people-centered design process behind the OXO barware featured in the Creative Capital exhibit.

After each lecture, guests will be escorted on a guided tour of Design Museum Boston’s inaugural exhibit, Creative Capital: Designed in Boston within the 9th floor walls of Boston City Hall.
