Our Town Town Hall Brings on Great Conversation and Ideas

| Thursday, June 7th, 2012 | No Comments »

The early morning didn’t stop a dedicated group of people from the community to lend their voices, thoughts, and ideas on how design can improve the world around us. This was the first in a series of discussions as a part of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Our Town grant program. Although the conversation centered mostly around the up-and-coming Innovation District, many were hopeful that the ideas that are implemented here would extend to the city and beyond, uniting and enriching Boston and the surrounding communities. Ideas ranged from travelling retail trucks to idea incubator spaces to creating an urban environment that encourages collaboration.

Thanks to Grand Circle Gallery for hosting — and big thanks to Kris Carter from the City of Boston and Anne Marie Stein from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design for joining us in the discussion.
